I can't figure out how (if it's possible) to change which apps are in the car panel screen. I'd like to put "goggle listen" as and option. As it is now they don't even have music as an option? It would be a nice function if I could customize it.

Heh, I was thinking the same thing yesterday. I hope they'll tweak it to allow customization or someone writes an app that does, something that can promptly overwrite what's on the phone so that new app comes up when you plug the phone into the car cradle.

Android Market has at least two decent apps that are decent, you can then select either one as a default and tweak behavior appropriately. The two apps are: "Custom Car Home" and "Car Dock Home v3". There are others but these appear to have the best reviews.

I wish I could at least turn the dock off, I have the HTC Car mount and it starts car panel automatically :'( I wish I could just disable it.

This is the reason i didn't go with the car dock. Im using an amazon mount and if i need the dock i'll launch it manually.

I wish I could change the apps as well.

I tried one from the app store that is a widget but that just won't work right in Sense because Sense doesn't rotate. So the widget stayed in portrait mode all the time. So stay away from any of the ones that work as a widget(if you are using Sense).

The one posted above looks promising because it looks to be an actual app as opposed to a widget.

I use CAR HOME ULTRA.
multiple screens and allows you to modify all, you can also set it to go off when you attach a specific bluetooth device. Very nice app.

I've installed and have been playing with Car Dock Home v3. It seems to work very well, the first time it auto launches you just need to make it the default app (then you won't be bothered by car panel) You can choose which apps are shown and can even add widgets as apps (handy for traffic report status on your commute). I'm pleased so far, the app buttons look a bit janky when enlarged so I decided to have an icon grid of 3 across by 4 down, makes the icons look better but still nice and big for using on the road.
