EVO 3D, com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly

Very randomly when someone tries to call me my phone (EVO 3D) will light up when it receives the call but, it doesn't ring and the contacts picture does not come out, only the android mascot (Lloyd) appears. When I answer the call I get the message "com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" and it asks me to force close and tell HTC. Then my phone freezes. after a while it wakes up and I have to restart it for it to come back to normal only to go through the same problem again after somr time goes by. My phone is stock, not rooted I noticed this happened after the last software update. Please help this is very frustrating

i had this problem too, waited a few weeks, i'm a stock user as well, i just decided to reset to stock settings today. hopefully that fixes it.

I was having the same issue but the persons pic would come up and as soon as I tried to answer that message would come up. I did a hard reset because my battery started depleting at an alarming rate. I could have a full battery and within 3 hrs, without using it, it would be at 8%. I hope its fixed.

Having the same problem here the past week or so. At the moment, it seems to be related to people who have a Facebook photo and/or a Facebook status update that shows above the photo. If someone has a photo that I loaded into the phone, its fine. I've only seen this happen when the phone was locked and asleep. Like someone mentioned above, I get the android icon in place of the persons face. I should also mention I have a custom ring tone for this person.

Again - it's been fine for months but just started doing this in the past week or two or three.

Also, not sure if its related in anyway, but my bluetooth headset is having a horribly bad time syncing up lately too. Both seem to have started around the same time. Most of the time I need to re-pair the headset. Used to be fine for MONTHS.

I've had my phone for 3 weeks now . in those 3 weeks ive had to go into a Sprint store 2 times to have my phone reset because of my phone saying "com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. would you like to close?" and when I eithier push "force close" or "tell htc" , that screen doesnt close . Can anyone tell me what that means and why It keeps screwing up my phone ?
