EVO 3D to iPhone 5/4S

I know this won't be a very popular decision since this is an android forum, but I'm planning on switching from my EVO 3D to a iPhone whatever they decide to call it if it does come out on Sprint. I was just curious if Sprint will likely do some sort of trade in offer for an iPhone?

I think there's about an 80% chance they're going to receive it. There have been a lot of rumors confirming that there will be a Sprint iPhone

The only official "trade in offer" from Sprint will be if you want to sell it to them through their buy back program. Right now, Sprint is offering $135 for the Evo 3D, which if you decide to go through with it, will appear as a credit on your account. Otherwise, assuming you aren't eligible for the new customer/subsidized price, you will have to pay whatever the unsubsidized price is for the new iphone (likely $500+).

There's a 100% chance that Sprint will be getting the next iPhone and whatever other iPhone comes out between now and 2015. Sprint just paid Apple 20 billion dollars to have the iPhones thru 2015.

Assuming that your EVO3D is in good condition, you will most likely get at least $200 bucks on eBay or Craigslist for it.

If the iPhone isn't 4g, then there is no way I would switch. Besides I really like a platform that allows you to customize everything on the phone, via root of course. I know you can jaibreak an iphone, but it still doesn't allow you the level of customizing that Android allows.

I had both the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4. Unless they make HUGE improvements in the platform, there's no way I'd switch from Android. I am however interested to see what the next iPhone will be. (I don't hate the iPhone, I just like Android that much more.)

I am torn!

I love my HTC device. I am SORTA impressed with Android. I only like it because of Sense to be honest. iOS5 looks like and I really wanna see what the new iPhone 5/4S features really are. If its just a bigger, faster version than the iPhone 4 then I will just pass on it and maybe pick one up next year if WebOS does not make any kinda come back! (Not betting on HP they suck!)

Otherwise I am enjoying my time on the Android platform so far.

I think that Android is incredible, I'm not making the switch because I'm unsatisfied, I'm making the switch because I've been waiting for the iPhone to hit Sprint since it first came out in 2007.

Love my 3D but would go iPhone bit screen size stops me...

that's the biggest surprise to me too. I bet if the only thing they changed was making the screen 4 or 4.3, everyone would be thrilled. well, whatever
I'm eyeing the galaxy player 5 for those few apps dying for a screensize a little bigger than 4.3 even (e.g. games)

The iPhone is perfect for people who don't like to tinker with their phones much. It does what it does pretty well. After Android I just can't envision going to something so limited in terms of where you can get your content and what they allow you to have on your phone. One of those personal preference kind of things.

The only reason I plan on making the switch, despite the puny screen size, is because I want to get into mobile app development and I would like to start with iOS. Therefore, I kind of need an iPhone to test my apps.

Not much room to play in app development for ios, but I came from an iPhone 3g and couldn't imagine going back to apple now that I'm rocking my 3vo, Droid makes apple look stupid bottom line,

Well I have heard the Apple is a pain to dev for due to all sorts of rules and restrictions but I admit that I honestly have no idea lol. I will say that at least the iPhone can stream a 1280x720 2.7gb file and the Evo 3d can't. I'm quite disappointed about that lol.
