I know this won't be a very popular decision since this is an android forum, but I'm planning on switching from my EVO 3D to a iPhone whatever they decide to call it if it does come out on Sprint. I was just curious if Sprint will likely do some sort of trade in offer for an iPhone?

Why would anyone wanna go and do silly thing like that?
Maybe those who want to give up there 3vo just like the There laptops a lot or maybe it's the logo, cool logo! I don't kno... Amazing how someone could possibly do this rocking one of the latest android devices... Reminds me of the cult that had the purple track suits & nikes on. They drunk the killer punch because of a nearby comet years ago & all kill themselves. Apples selling punch lol!

I think a lot of people are underestimating the iPhone 4S. I mean all of the newly implemented specs plus the new iOS 5. I think it can be a killer phone despite the still small screen, lack of 4G, and same design. If you watch the keynote from yesterday, some of the new features are just incredible such as Siri. I've been waiting to go iPhone since it first came out, I think it's finally time to do it now that it's finally on Sprint.

Well, its a free country and apparently there is a market for it. Anyone making the switch will be able to try it out for 14 days. If they like it better, cool. If they don't, well, then we will forgive them and welcome them back to Android!

I think you will be disappointed with the new iphone with Sprint. l left Sprint to go with Verizon just for the iphone 4 just to return to sprint because I was so disappointed. You are so limited. If you like simplicity then the iphone is for you, but if you're like me and like to play with your phone then I would suggest you stay with your android.

Not everyone buys a phone for the same reasons. The iPhone is the perfect phone for some people, its the same as someone who bought the Evo 3D over the Photon or Galaxy S 2 or even a WP7. We just picked the phone that worked best for us.

Not everyone cares about changing a keyboard, or widgets. (however I do, and will be keeping my evo)

Of course its number 1, apple has made sure of that fact, but quality of apps also comes into play, how many useless apps do you want to c? Even the Droid market has these apps tho, just less if them as of now... Let alone Apple trying to figure out anyway possible to make more money of the consumer, And just to start development for iPhone apps when I looked was $1499.... To get started.... There are ways to go around those fees and develop under the table thro jailbreaking etc, I'm still using my iPhone as a tester for a friend who developes for ios, tuff stuff for sure.

I don't know where you had heard that from, but siri is one of the main features of the iPhone 4S. Therefore it will be on the new iPhone next Friday when it is released.

$1499? I'm pretty sure the SDK is only $99/year. The App Store currently has over 500,00 apps, more than any other market. And although 90% of them are useless to a majority of users, it demonstrates the wide variety of apps that the App Store has. And you can just ignore the useless apps.

The program and an iphone alone doesn't make you a developer, you will need a device to mod and develop from( hince the 1500 for full package) , or a hacked iPhone, not here to argue,but even if I'm wrong...99 bucks is still more than free... I could care less which phone you use... I have enabled tons of mods on my iphone including virtual memory mods, CPU mods(which are unheard of, it did crash eventually BTW) I think the iPhone has great potential if apple would ever lossen their grip on it, you said it yourself most of those apps are useless there for one can assume based on number of apps alone that doesn't make it better or worse..let alone considering all the apps that have way more than one version released in the appmarket at a time..for example when i used my app store last there was at least 5-10 apps at different prices for different amounts of "respect points" in the same game, none of which actually included the game..so how many of those 500k are doubles??... However ever since new market for Droid, the appstore wipes it off the map, the new Droid market is slow and a pain to use. The arguement is a no win on either side, the companies are just focused on different things, and people will always like what they like,and by the time they make up their minds the product(s) at hand are obsolete. so do what you do and just make sure your having fun,

Well you're right, I have no clue about the total cost since I have yet to begin developing. But at least I was right about the SDK lol. And yes the App Store is far better than the Android market; I don't think that any application store will surpass the quality and success of the App Store within the next decade or so.
