So I am currently looking to carriers. Going from Sprint to Verizon. I currently have an HTC Evo 3D and I think the Rezound might be a good fit. Any reason why I wouldn't want this phone? Updates seem to be good? Is the software currently buggy at all? Also hows the battery life Vs the Evo? Verizon's coverage is a ton better in my area. So anyways looking for any advice! Thanks a lot!

the rezound runs well, and has a strong radio. At the current price of $50,it is the best phone at that price range. The 9th is the last day for this price from Verizon though.

I just did what your looking to do and wish I had done it sooner. Was a Sprint customer for 10 1/2 years and was tired of the poor service. I barely had service at my house and now have full service and 4G. The rezound is pretty much the same as the 3d.

It's lighter than the 3d and feels better in the hand also. The speaker on the rezound is a million times better! Today I had the ringer volume turned almost to its lowest setting and could still hear the notification sound while driving with the radio on and windows partially down.

My battery life is much better now cause I'm not searching for signal constantly. I'm not really a power user. I got 24hrs out of it today and that's with 4G on, Bluetooth on some of the day, couple emails, lots of texts and some web browsing. I haven't played a lot with the camera but seems a lot better than the 3d.

My only gripes so far are the power and volume buttons, their pretty much flush with the phone and a lol difficult to press. Not a biggie though, I'm already getting used to it. So what are you waiting for, go for it!

I am not sure if stock software is buggy because mine has been rooted and running roms since I got it. No problems here for me. Great performance, great radio and GPS reception, nice screen, solid build, nice camera, top of the line phone. Battery is mediocre for me in 4g, around 10-12 hrs but it depends on use, I have brightness up and screen on a lot.

I too went from a EVO 3D to the Rezound. You will NOT be disappointed. It's so much faster and smoother. The radios get great reception, I regularly get 30+Mb downloads on 4g. I got mine before the drop to 50 and don't feel cheated at all. (The earbuds are a real nice bonus too. I use mine for workouts, etc.)

dpham00 - Thanks for the information! I didn't know I only had until yesterday. Damn it that sucks! Maybe it will go on sale again. If it doesn't then I will look at other options too pending on its price tag. Thanks for the heads up.

T-Rex - Awesome information as well! I think I would get better battery life too. Sprint is low signal in my area. No 4G on any networks sadly in Vermont! I love the option of shutting the 4G off. It also looks like a better phone over all too. UI even seems to have less lag. Is this the case even after having it for a while?

Stelv - I also plan to root the phone. The support looks good too. I just want something that runs smoothly! I currently use ADWpro on my Evo 3D. Sense runs like crap after a while it seems. ><

Thanks for all of the information folks!

I can't comment on wether the UI becomes laggy after awhile because I haven't even had mine for a week yet. People that have had theirs longer will have to chime in. Amazon Wireless has the rezound for $50 right now, that's where I got mine.

I dont usually notice lag with Sense. I imagine on stock unrooted it can get laggy at times but while running Sense on nils or boreds gingerbread roms I dont notice any lag. Even some ics roms run ok on old firmware but the gb ones are definetly faster right now. Sense has its moments on the rezound when it stutters though. I do switch between go launcher and Sense every once in a while. I love adw ex and run it on my kindle, but it doesnt run well for me on rezound for some reason.
