I like a thread like this, its great discussion what I don't like to see is the comments being tossed around about "trolls" and other comments. I will provide a little reminder just in case were not aware...

However, it is not constructive to neither criticize nor insult another member because their opinion differs from yours. Consider the tone of your posts before pressing the submit button. • Trolling - Do not post inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages to provoke users into responding in a negative way. Calling another member a troll is also a form of trolling.
Lets keep our comments in check and carry on a good discussion everyone.

I used to be all for HTC. But after seeing the evo which they half as**d in everyway I gave Samsung a try and couldn't be happier. One customer HTC lost.

its a matter of choice, Sense vs Touchwiz. Aluminum vs Plastic. i have used both Galaxy S2 and Evo 3D, and i like the feel of HTC a lot better over Samsung.

You know everyone can say that Apple is a innovative no not even close because one apple
didn't create jack who created all of this was Microsoft and palm and rim okay now a lot of people say android is a Google thing no its not it was created by a guy named Andy rubin and he had the foresight to go to all of these big time manufacturers via Google search so when everyone except for HTC they said yeah we can do this and so Andy rubin got hired at Google and so they all loved the idea of android so first it was Linux and qnx then Linux and java okay so for everyone to say hey apple is a inavter is a a joke because he also gave apple aka Steven jobs the ideal intil he said your fired we don't need you

now I know that I missed a lot of key points but the main ideal is there I am just done typing for now think about it

For the love of God man, use freak'n punctuation already! I can't even force myself to try to make heads or tails of this post.

Some people will never be happy.

I'm not sure what kind of extra mobile technology HTC is holding back on. Considering HTC and Samsung have basically come up with the same specs, I think we're maxed out for what we can see in mid 2012.

If you don't like it, feel free to keep your December 2009 reference technology.

Oh and my phone is just about dead so about 90 %of I wrote i couldn't see as well :p

You guys say that Siri is no big deal. I'm sorry I don't agree. The things I was able to ask it and receive an answer to right on the spot was amazing. I asked "Siri, what is the mass of the earth?" Got an answer faster than if i went to search it on the net. It is an amazing tool and you don't have to look like an idiot having a conversation with your phone. Just as it a question.

Your friends that have the phone but don't use it? Well thats them. I'd definitely use it because I search questions quite a bit.

And you say that there will only be incremental changes? Well where is the incremental beyond the expected upgrades for the EVO LTE? It doesn't even try anything new at all.

Apple will. I guarantee you.

Check out an app called Vlingo, It was around long before Siri, is also available for the iPhone as well as Android and while it doesn't have the sexy voice response, it has proven to be quite functional. Enough so that Samsung licensed the technology for the Galaxy S II and future phones.

I would prefer the SGS 2 camera and the processor over the HTC ONE X, the camera on the HTC one x not good in door or in night, I have both phones, the SGS2 looks close to real color, but the HTC one X, looks washed out, special the front camera. The SGS 2 processor it`s fast from the HTC one X in opening apps, not in benchmark test, I never did benchmark test anyway.

When it comes to pure innovation, I kind of feel comfortable with the approach HTC took. Rather than building an all-new mousetrap, HTC decided to give us the best damn mousetrap they could with currently available technology.

Some folks are swooning over Siri and similar tech; I'd rather not bother with those things as I've never had positive experiences with any voice recognition software at all (sorry folks, English isn't my native language). My wife has an iPhone 4S and she actually gets upset at the Siri commercials as she feels Apple is downright lying in them.

Back with the innovation on the EVO, it has arguably one of the very best currently available ARM SoC's, a kickstand, amazing screen tech, support for LTE and even a voice standard that isn't even available on any US carrier yet (these technologies combine to make me consider it a very future proof phone). At this point, about 2GB of RAM would be the only thing I'd consider would improve it at the current tech level.

There's lots of areas that should be improved in time, such as all this talk of new battery technology, but of currently available tech what would make it better? 3D? HTC already tried it, didn't seem to add much. Dual screens? What were the sales on the Kyocera Echo? Kinect-like gesture recognition? Kind of hard to do when we keep smartphone so close though I'd LOVE to see the Youtube videos that come from this.

Now I'd REALLY like to see a phone with a magnetic back that would place it on a keyboard dock. Imagine said dock has an extra battery in it that would allow inductive charging while on said small keyboard (should resemble an open slider phone when docked). This would also add the convenience of physical keys but these smartphone companies don't want anything to do with physical keyboards anymore (too bad, as I still prefer them over software keyboards).

I am personally surprised to hear this about the iPhone 4S as being considered innovative. It got a lot of public backlash for not implementing any changes, and Siri was a hit or miss for some people.

Androids have great new technologies that apple has refused to adopt for a while. 4G LTE for example, or NFC. What I do admit thought is that apple is good at marketing. They are able to "trap" the consumer into thinking their phone has this new brilliant technology even if it has been done before.

I'll use this analogy for everyone to think about. As soon as you buy a new car and drive it off the showroom lot, it has already depreciated. It is no longer a shiny new car with all the bells and whistles. Can we say the same anytime we buy the latest and greatest smartphone? When you buy a product in a store that's new and improved, all that has to be is one feature change like 20% more this, now contains that. Just saying this to prove a point to the nay sayers out there. If you continue to wait for the "next big thing", you may never reach it.

I think you have other choices, so move along and pick something else, whats really funny is you havent touched the damn phone yet and your saying such nonsense.........oh dear

I don't need to touch the phone to know what Sprint's Dan Hesse told me the phone is capable of doing. The specs are laid out for all to see. I have my opinion and you have yours.

As for moving along. Doing it baby!!

If it turns out that I find that the Evo LTE is worth getting after viewing other phones and playing with the device when it comes out, who knows... I might buy it. As for now, 'I'm nut imprez wit HTC's per for manz'.

Siri is a joke, it does not work as advertised. Many people have complained, there is a class action lawsuit against Apple regarding siri. If you believe the HTC EVO LTE is not innovative, then stick with the non-evolving iPhone.

According to the class action lawsuit, Siri is more of a miss, a lot of people got suckered by that gimmick.

Its not far fetched to believe that the next big thing will come along in the cell phone world. Not far fetched at all. We aren't talking about say... finding a new habitable Earth that is within reach via current space tech.
