Evo 4G vs. Palm Pre

the pre hardware was unbelievably bad. POS phone. evo is waaaay better.

I took out my Pre and had to get some info off it. I was worried about getting the EVO because it was to big. Now I don't even know how I held that little Pre. Loved it, but sure don't miss it. Not one regreat weitching over to the EVO.

I dusted off my Touch Pro 2 only 2 months after switching to the Evo, and I could not believe how chunky and clunky it really was. I was like, "damn! I can't believe I thought this was the shizz once!"

One day, very soon, the Evo will be the phone on the right.

Since I just plunked down $450 for my EVO two weeks ago, I hope it's a while until the EVO becomes as obsolete as the Palm Pre.

Three months in with EVO and I feel bad for my wife using my old Pre. The usuable applications on the EVO is amazing let alone the look. You want flash, you got it, You want Sling, you got it. You want LogmeIn, you got it. You want PrinterShare, you got it. I am now embarassed I owned the Pre. In one year, I will be embarrased I owned the EVO. Later.

months 1-3: This is the greatest phone ever! Who are these IDIOTS who own something else? This makes my old phone look like a POS! How did I ever live with that thing?

months 4-9: Oh, okay, here's a problem. I wish they'd fix this. I wish this worked like this. I wish, I wish, I wish.

months 10-11: OMG! Look at these new phones! Such envy. But I can't quit you -- you're still awesome.

month 12: Okay, I'm taking the plunge...

My old Pre has been relegated to the role of bedside clock at night. I put it on the Touchstone at bedtime then remove it in the morning. When I lift it off and the screen lights up I ask myself, "How did I use this little bitty thing for over a year?!"

Yeah, I know that feeling! This year might be different, though. I'll distract her with my hero, which she uses every day to play games that she can't get on her pixi, and make a break for the evo while she's hurling angry birds at green pigs. That's the plan, anyway.
