Evo & fring??

Hi Guys

Does anyone know anything about Fring?
I installed Fring and I dont have the Video icon when I select another person with EVO? Can someone please assist me with this.

I just figured it out myself today. First you have to sign up for Skype online (don't worry it's free). Then open your Fring app. Hit menu and go to add on. Tap on Sype and sign in to your skype account. Now hit the back button and all your skype contacts will be there. It's important to know that whoever you plan on video chatting with on Fring has to have Skype as well. One cool thing to know is you can video chat with someone else if they're on Skype on their computer. I did it today actually. Extremely smooth and clear on wifi so I'm sure it'll be just the same on 4G if you have 4G coverage.

To video chat ya you do. It uses Skype to video chat. Follow the instructions I put in my last post and you'll be good to go.

well, ask for their fring screen name instead of the number off your phone book.. and you should be good

i use fring and i dont have a skype account ... create a fring screen name and thats it.....
yes it gives you the option to use skype but there's no need unless you really want to use it

so i'm assuming that you both have a fring account . while fring is running hit menu, add friends, and then enter your wifes user id .. thats it

....I thought I had to use Skype... smh.. lol.. O well. At least I can video chat with people on a computer now. Thanks for clearing that up though!

Do you have to do anything to enable the video portion of the chat? I can connect to my fiancee's computer via Fring (she uses Skype) and I get audio but not video. She should have the most up to date Skype client. Any ideas?

so ive been having a freaking AWESOME problem with fring...
i used to be able to connect with skype... now when i reinstalled fring... and im on 3g or any other wifi or w.ever, and i add skype as an account...im getting the ring spinning on and on and on and on and the connection never gets established... and then 10 min later it says cannot connect (yes credentials are accurate)
now i said it was an AWESOME problem... u know why?! b/c as i enter my skype user and pass and i click log in...the 3g goes to sleep LMFAO i LOVE THIS only to me this **** happens...its amazing.. if these things were lotto tickets then i would be a BILLIONARE till now hahahahhaha *goes insane with anger and rage*

I just started using Fring and I love it. I wish that the Qik application worked like that. Does anyone know how to make video calls to a computer with the Qik application?

since we're on the subject of Fring, does anybody know where i can find future release notes? also, is there a way to have multiple AIM or MSN accounts together?

I am having a similar issue ... I started using fring with my friend and it was working for awhile but had horrible feedback ... So after a few days I go to use it and it doesnt give me the option to Video chat ... It has the Chat and Phone Icons but the Video is not there ... I closed out of the app then an hour later I go back in and all 3 icons are there again ... The next day I go to Use it again and The Video Chat Icon is gone again ... WTF ... Its hit or miss with this damn thing ... When does it pick and choose to offer me the Video Chat or not ... Why is it doing this?
