I keep my phone in my pants pocket all day. I have noticed over the past few days that sometimes the phone keeps restarting itself. I suppose this is from the feature that if you hold the power button down for an extended time, it will automatically reboot the phone.

Is there any way to shut this off? I think the Blue gel skin sprint sent isnt helping, but itd be nice to just shut this feature off all together. I dont mind pressing the selection on the screen to choose to power off, airplane mode, or restart.

Thanks for your time.

I think it might actually be the blue gel cover, have you tried without that ? I haven't opened mine yet, but I see the blue gel cover also covers the buttons, and might be too tight over all to keep pressing the button..

Never had the issue when stock of with my PT Surface Case.

I had a similar problem and I found that if I put the phone in my pocked upside down it's not an issue.

i have tried flipping it both ways but it still happens from time to time. usually when i have to sit at my desk at work. hopefully someone knows how to change this. thanks for the input guys.

I've been using the blue apology case with the phone in my pocket and I haven't noticed anything unusual.

Motorola has implemented pocket detection feature into their phones. While it's not open source theres nothing preventing anything from writing their own original code to achieve the same. Have you guys dug through all the maze of settings to make sure HTC didnt bury such a feature?
