Mad huzzah to the gang. Hopefully custom kernels aren't cooked before I get mine... was hoping to run stock for a week or so just so I truly knew what stock meant... but the temptation to mod will be strong .

This made my splooge a little in my pants . Wow. All I can say is WoW. Atheists ignore me, christians heed me. The Evo is the bible of the mobile phone. God has worketh his magic through the hands of HTC and Google, and brought us the messiah of mobiles

All sacrilegious prophecy aside. Every thing about this phone has struck me as fateful. Now the EVO being given to dev's has been doubly proven to be the will of fate, kismet, karma or whatever in thta it allows crazy people like me to get the phone early(via ebay I should have one Tuesday) and this phone has been rooted with epic speed.

root - Linux Terms

root

The name of the login account given full and complete access to all system resources or the "superuser". Also used to describe the directory named "/"as in, "the root directory."

One can become root by either logging in as user "root" or by typing "su" within a normal user's login session. The root password is required to become root.
