EVO to Thunderbolt downloading pics from web?

Just switched to VZW from Sprint yesterday. when I tried to download a picture from the web and I look in my media gallery they are not there. Is this reaaly different from the Evo? I noticed a similar thing when I plugged it into my Mac and have it seen as a disk drive, I don't see the folder where they are. Can someone please tell me where my pictures are?

In your SD card in the dcim folder.

Downloaded anything from the web should be in your download folder on the SD card. That is the way it was on the OG EVO and on my Shift, I would think it would be the same on the TB.
