EVO's "Android Uploader" process suddenly doesn't work

Recently, and I can't pin down a date, the "Media Uploader" process that the EVO uses to upload pictures and movies from the gallery to YouTube, Picasa, etc, force closes when I try to upload to said services.

So I get the "Waiting to Retry in one minute" loop and the files never upload. I don't have a clue what could have caused this (I've rebooted several times, no fix). Best I can com up with is a conflict with an app I've installed but I try and uninstall so many apps, I don't know where to start.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

I have the same issue as well...and am displeased to see that there have been no suggestions to resolve the issue. My problem occurred after trying to upload pictures to Picasa. It's been stuck ever since then. Now I can't update any of my Google apps either.

The force close message says:

The application my uploads (process.com.google.android.apps.uploader) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Well, here's a solution that I found elsewhere...if you still having the problem, hopefully this helps:

From the home screen,
- Press the "Menu" button
- Press the "Settings" button
- Press the "Applications" button
- Press the "Manage Applications" button
- Select the "All" tab at the top
- Select the "Menu" button
- Select "Sort by Size"
- Select the "Menu" button again
- Select "Sort a-z" button
- Scroll down to "My Uploads" and select it
- Select "Clear data"
- Select "Force Stop"

:D:D brilliant, thanks for the tip. hopefully this will work. wonder if this is some of the 'internal memory full' issue also.

i can pinpoint that it happened for me when i tried uploading too many photos (20+?) at one time and it crashed mid upload. been a real pain in the A since.
