I only had the phone for about a week now and it is truly a great phone!!!!

I been trying to load music onto the phone from my computer, i connect to pc then open the music folder and then transfer the music i want.... Example i put in Eminem Recovery album, but when i look at it in the phone it shows it as "Unknown Artist" and im not sure why ive tried making sure the files where named right and the are i got the Artist name (Eminem) then the Album (recovery) then all the songs in that folder.

Also how do i get album art to show on the phone only the songs that came preloaded on the phone are showing?

Any help would be great guys!!!!.

Plus i noticed alot of your use diff music apps, whats the best one out there you guys have found and why?

You need a mp3 tagging software (or itunes/zune).

There are meta data in your files that most mp3 players and player read from. What OS do you have? You can adjust this manually in Windows 7.

Also, there will be some users suggesting software to install on the phone that will pull album art for the track/album, but in my opinion, it's best to ensure that that's done on your computer, and not your phone. This way, any device you choose to load your music on displays exactly how it should.

I've been doing mine since about 6 years ago...and yeah its painstaking and yaeh i am still missing some...but i like having as much album art and correct file names as possible.

Once you get the ID3 tags straight here's a GREAT free app for getting album art.

Album Art Grabber Free - Android app on AppBrain

A lot of people complain that it doesn't embed the album art into the mp3 so when you move it off to another computer the album art doesn't go with it. Which would be nice. However it's not a big deal to me.

This app does an amazing job of finding album art.

The application I linked to does both tagging and album art. No need for separate programs.

I saw your post, but didn't see a link to a program. I'd be interested in a program that does this on the PC as well.

Get iTags from the Android market. I use it. When you start the iTags app it shows you your music, you select the track you want and make sure the name of artist and song are correct. It also helps that you know what the name of the album. Then at the top hit the get cover button and it shows you covers or pics that are for or close to what the name of the artist and or song is called. after selecting the cover scroll to the bottom and hit save. Most albums will put the cover for every song for the same album if only one song cover is added. I use it all the time as I no longer use my computer thanks to my lovely Evo.

That works if you don't use a computer, but you apparently have a small music collection.

That is a great solution. It can fix everything and find album art.

The key thing is that it actually downloads and puts the album art in with the music.

If you connect your android phone as a USB device, it can update your phone directly as well.

Yes sir. The point I'm trying to make is to manage your music on your computer, that way you're good to go no matter WHAT device you get in the future or use at the same time.
