Excel files opening as read only

Hi,

I have a GS6 and I'm using a SanDisk USB memory stick to look at Excel files, the problem I have is that the files are opening as read only and i can't save any changes made on my phone.

The Excel files are created in Excel 2007 and all are .xlsx files. I'm using the actual Microsoft Excel app to try and edit them.

Any ideas? :-
