Excel Office Question

When I receive an office 2003 excel file in xls format, I get a chose in the mail client to open it with my paid version of Documents to Go. However, when i get new 2007 version in xlsx format, I have to save it to my SD card, then go to Documents to go and manually open it. Is there a way to get the mail client to recognize that I have an application that can open xlsx files?
