The one great feature of the Nexus 4, unlike some other phones, is that with a few minutes you can replace the battery. If you have an iPhone for instance , the only thing that can be done when the battery reaches the end of it's life is to recycle the phone, so basically it's trash at that point. Wrong. The iPhone battery is easy as pie to get to. For the 4 and 4S, unscrew two screws and the back glass just slides off. For the iPhone 5, take out the two screws and pull off the front glass using a suction cup. The battery will be the first thing you see. The iPhone 5 got a 7/10 repairability rating on ifixit, and the 4S got a 6/10 repairablity score. The iPhones are really easy to repair, so the comment about having to recycle an iPhone when the battery goes out is misguided.

The Nexus 4 battery is really easy to get to as well, so I'm not worried about the battery going out. In smartphones, I like an easy to repair design. I like to know that I can fix it if it breaks.

Whoops, I see you are correct. I have a friend that said he tried it and it was impossible, but now I see there videos for changing the iPhone battery also. Looks pretty simple.
