700mb in 10 days. This seems excessive to me (it's almost half my monthly allowance). Unified daemon accounts for most of it. How do I turn that off or restrict it

After a quick Google search, I found this:

https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/810076

The fourth post references how to disable or enable this service -

"You can enable and disable this service by going to Settings-->Data usage --> (scroll down)--> click on Unified Daemon --> (scroll down) --> "Check" Restrict background Data."

I cannot confirm whether or not this works because (1) I am in the US and (2) I have unlimited data. However, the process should be pretty straight forward. Good luck.

As said you can disable background data by going to settings and data usage.

From there you can hit the menu button and choose to restrict background data.
