Exchange Calendar Sync issue

I have a client who had a Note 3 and has been using S Planner. He's had his phone for a year or so now, I remember there being an issue initially with the Calendar not syncing at all but we over came that. Now when enters something in his Calendar on his Note 3 it never makes it his Calendar on the server or in his Outlook. However if he create a Calendar entry in his Outlook it appears on his Note 3. So it seems it's only synchronizing one way.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Thanks,

Check the calendar he's using to create the event on his phone. Maybe he's using his Google account or the phone's local calendar storage. Neither of those would sync back to the Exchange server.

For starters he's using Android 4.4.2 on his note 3.

We have turned off all the other calendars in his S Planner, and hit sync and nothing updates on the Exchange. Are there other settings elsewhere?

Thanks

When you tap on the event he created, does it say the name of the Exchange account?

In all honesty, when dealing with Exchange and ActiveSync in general...removing the account from the phone and re-adding it usually does the trick. If all the contacts are on the Exchange server, no worries about losing anything there; and if not, then they're just on the Google account anyway.
Is this Exchange on-prem or Office 365?

No it's not office 365. Thanks for the suggestion I will get the user to do that.
The only other calendar account he has setup is his google account, but he's checked his google calendar and entry he creates doesn't appear there either. LOL

I will also get him to check the location of the calendar item to verify where it's being stored. I will say one thing for sure, his Exchange calendar entries are reddish in colour while the new entries he creates on the device are blue in colour, not sure if that means anything?

That means he's creating them in a different calendar. Same calendar items, whether created on the device or on a PC, should be the same color.

Hi,

I have the same issue but my device is the Moto X and I'm using O365. Would this be the same issue? Thanks so much!

So how do you differentiate which Calendar you are using when you are creating an entry in S Planner?

When you create an event or task, there's an option at the top (sometimes it doesn't look like an option, unfortunately) where you can select which calendar you want to create the item in. If it says MY CALENDAR, that's usually the local storage one and that won't sync to anything. He'd have to select his Exchange account there so that it's synced with that.

In theory, the option you select for the last created event is the option that should come up as 'default' for the next one you create.
