Hello. I have a problem running Exchange ActiveSync on both my Android phone and my tablet. I have an HTC Desire HD with Android 2.3.3 (1 year old maybe) and a newly purchased Samsung Tablet Galaxy 10.1 running Android 3.2. My phone is synchronizing fine, when I try to enter same account info on the tablet, it tells me cannot reach server. My (first level!) Exchange Server technical support tells me that this is because I am running different Android versions and there is a profile conflict problem. Can this be true? Any tips to sort this one out? Alternatively: is there a phone with Android 3.2 I can use? Thanks in advance

What version of exchange are they on? I have used my Xoom and multiple phones on our exchange environment(2007 then on 2010) and never seen this problem. What is your network connection back to your exchange server I have seen most problems being a wireless deal and since your phone is either 3g or 4g it works fine but Wifi can throw in extra problems even though you can reach the internet fine.

Thanks for your reply. I have now both my phone and tablet running. I am not 100% sure what caused the problem, one thing seems that adding the account from the Settings menu rather than from email app there are more complete options asked and it seems to have made a difference. Also it is possible that we experienced instabilities in our Exchange Server when I tried first times.

I would put my money on a connection issue because 99% of the time it always is. But to keep the network people from being mad at me it was always working as designed. People would try to connect and between the phone or tablet having to go out to the internet and back in the transmission would be lost and sometimes this is blocked to keep this thing from happening. I know this isnt exactly how it works but I dont feel like typing an essay explaining it. That was why I was wondering how you were connecting at the time the easiest thing in the future when you have a problem like this just try different internet sources/connections its quick easy to do and fixes the problem a lot of the time.
