Exchange Sync

This might not be necessarily for the HTC Inspire forum but I thought I'd post it here anyway.

Can I sync just a calendar using an Exchange log in? I've yet to try it but thought I would ask if anyone else had. It's a work email and I'm only interested in getting my calendar on the phone - not the contacts or the hundreds of emails I get each day.

I also wanted to ask before I try it and it syncs my large amount of work contacts.

Admittedly, I do not know how my work IT guy set it up, but my Inspire calendar is synced with my work Exchange calendar and reminders pop just like they do at work. I also have work emails synced through Exchange so I do not know if they can be turned off while the calendar is on, but I would expect that to be the case.

I don't use the stock Exchange mail client, but I'm sure there is a way to only sync calendar and not Contacts or Mail. Go to Menu--->Settings--->Accounts & sync. If your Exchange account is listed, click on it and it should list options of what you want to sync. Again, I don't use the stock client, so I'm not 100% sure if this is the case. Very nice droyd! I'd forgotten about those settings. These 3 are available - 1) Contacts, 2) Email, & 3) Calendar.
