Exclamation point in text.

I have had my Droid Incredible since May 4 and am very happy. But I have been intrigued by one thing. I seem to get a red exclamation point in the right hand side of a reply from a text. It only shows up for 2 people in my contacts list. Can someone tell me what the heck it means? It has been racking my brain for awhile now.

If its the one i'm thinking it is.. it means the text message failed during send and you need to send it again.

Those two people probably have their messaging settings on "urgent" which will give you that image.

for me that ususally means the text didn't go through though it would have told you the message was not sent if that was the case. i can't say for sure if it's an "urgency" setting since i've never used that or seen anyone use it.

I txt with two people who use phones with Revol and the msg always shows up as urgent.

I thought it just meant that the text message is really, really funny.

The message goes through. I know it isn't that. I know if the message doesn't go through, it shows up in the notification bar with the envelope and the green exclamation point followed by the Price is Right losing horns (that's is my notification sound! I love Zedge.net) But maybe its on the urgent setting and I don't know. But is only with 2 people in my contacts list. Help!

If the messages are going through, why does it matter? It is most likely not something you can effect or adjust on your phone. Let it go and enjoy your Incredible.

I hear ya, Revolutionary. It is just something that was plaguing my mind since I got the phone. I definitely love this phone, as this my first smartphone. Best phone I have ever had, especially since my previous phone was a Motorola Krave ZN4. But if anyone knows what it is, let me know. I thank everyone in community for their responses. All that is,,,, is those 2 people have their text set to high priorty .. or just set it to that when they message you.
