Expanding Notifications on Huawei P20 Pro screen

It's taken some getting used to after having a Samsung S8 for so long but loving the Huawei.

However, whenever the notifications are batched for say Whatsapp, on the S8, you could drag down on the notification to see all the individual messages. For some reason i can't seem to do that on the Pro.

Has anyone figured out how to do this?? It's bugging me and I don't want to have to keep opening my phone just to check notifications.

Annoying as hell. But from what I understand its have been fixed in the Android P-beta that P20 Pro will receive.
