So if you go to First for Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops and Accessories - Expansys USA you'll notice that they've already sold out the HSPA+ phones that were imported.

This may just be me being annoyed with Verizon, but does anybody else think Verizon might have messed up their opportunity to get a few more customers. Now many people who were planning on switching to Verizon for the GN have gotten the phone elsewhere and don't have to change carriers. I'm sure there are some people who are holding out so they can get an on contract price, but I think Verizon still might be at a slight loss because of this.

They probably had a limited quantity. I wouldn't read too much into that.

I'd be curious on just how many of these phones are going to be available. hundreds?, thousands? tens of thousands?

I doubt the amount of phones available this way are making anyone at VZW nervous enough to change any release schedule.

I by no means meant that it was going to be a huge hit for verizon, just a missed opportunity. Truthfully, mostly big time android fans really care about this phone any way. I'm just thinking this might have been VZW's opportunity to get some of the Nexus users to switch since at first it was presumably going to be released CDMA in the US first before the imports came over.

I was very tempted to buy the phone from them. Honestly the only things that stopped me was not being able to use Google Voice like I want and, the storage. The pre-paid T-mobile plan with only 100 minutes and unlimited data would have been perfect for me.
