Expected pricing for the LG nexus

I say 8gb starts at $600, because Google wants to be like Apple sooooo much.

I would be happy if it was priced at 450 for the 16gb version. 400 would be awesome. If the 500+ price tag for the nexus one and nexus s was any indication, Google (and maybe Samsung) is taking a hit on the $350 galaxy nexus to promote their brand (don't think they expected to sell millions anyways). Nexus 7 was a budget device aimed at another purpose. I don't see LG/Google skimping on the lg nexus hw according to leaks. IMHO people need to be realistic. Expect the worst pricing and get a nice surprise is my plan haha.

When Google first sold the Nexus-One direct from Google was at like $500 or so ? I would imagine similar pricing fof the new Nexus 4 then. I am guessing the 8gb version will start off at like $450-$500, and 16gb for like $550.

The wild card in all this is the Galaxy Nexus.

There were rumors about a slight spec bump? If so, or even if they leave it as-is, and get the price at or below $249 new, that's a big deal.

But if you look at how aggressive they were with the Nexus 7, no reason to believe they're going to let off the gas here. For the general public, they can't compete head to head with Apple but they can compete on value. I would be shocked if the off-contract price for the new Nexus is above $399 for the entry level model. I'm sure they'd like for it to be free to $99 on contract with carriers.

You can see this Monday being all about value. $99 Nexus 7 8 GB model through the holidays. $199 Galaxy Nexus without a contract, use it with whomever you want. Guessing a $299-$399 Nexus 10. Guessing a $299-$399 Nexus 4 straight from Google.

The best question is when Google just becomes their own MVNO and bundles Nexus with their service.

I just sold my HTC one X for $450...hope I will get the LG Nxs 4 shipped to Kenya by end of November. Right now am stuck using a dumb phone

Silly people! You cannot convert pounds into US dollars. That's not how it works. They have high tariffs and VAT and a whole bunch of other factors.

The Nexus is suppose to be a budget line. The Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, and Nexus 7 are all upper range phones with budget prices because they skimp on things like the bestest best camera (or no back camera at all on the Nexus 7) and storage memory, but preserve high performance, great screens, and decent if not remarkable build quality. The leaks of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 seem to follow that trend. Since the Galaxy Nexus was priced at $400 and overall well received, I don't see why Google would change the price. They are aiming for the bottom after all, while still maintaining great performance and quality. The Nexus 4 doesn't have any stellar features that would warrant a price increase. Lots of budget-y high-end phones have the S4 Pro so it isn't super pricey. The Galaxy Nexus also had the first 720p SuperAMOLED display, whereas LG has just popped another 720p IPS display on the Nexus 4, in a market flooded with 720p IPS display phones already.

There are actually a very small number of phones currently with the S4 Pro. You must be thinking of the regular dual-core S4.

The GN was $399 when it first went on the play store and that was like 6ish months after its release so I would bet in the $450-500 range at release but who knows how much Google wants their Nexus line to succeed and how much they're willing to subsidize the cost to make it happen.

I still think $399 is optimistic, but I'll be as happy as anyone if it's cheap. Of course, I'm not likely to go for the base model in any event. I'm already using well over 10 of my NS's 16 GB, so I'm certainly not going to settle for 8, and if 32 is available I'll probably spring for that since I probably will want to use this for the next couple years. All this assuming, of course, that the final product is worth buying over the GN.

Well not currently released, but all expected this holiday season around the same time the Nexus 4 rears its head. Lg's own Optimus G, HTC 5" thingy, Asus Padfone 2, Oppo 5" thingy, Xiaomi 2, and several other phones from smaller companies. Yeah realistically the only quadcore S4 will be the optimus G vs HTC 5" thingy vs Nexus 4 in the US, but the key is the Nexus 4 isn't the only one. Sony might have one up its sleeve as well, but chances are it won't come out till Q1 2013.

I was not going to buy I went from nexus one to galaxy nexus but at 349 I really want to!!! Just wonder how much I can get for my galaxy nexus now

I'll be the first to be shocked that the nexus 4 starts at 299. Hurray for us consumers! I want the 16gb version :D

Whaat....the price made me jizz in my pants....this is what they must call nerd haven, nerdvana if you like...the last time i was this excited is when i went to college
Getting the 16gb version as soon as I can get the Google country director for Kenya to pre order several
