***Expert Help Needed*** Cant Boot Past Sprint Boot Animation

Ok, first, let me start by saying i am not a complete android nub but i am far from an expert. Now to my problem, about a week ago i was board and decided i was going to fiddle with the app RootToolBox (My phone is rooted) im not sure what i did because all was well until i turned off my phone, ever since then when i turn it on the lg logo comes n goes like normal but when the sprint boot animation runs its coarse it freezes at the very end after you hear the crickets n music. while its frozen on the sprint screen i can connect to it with ADB terminal but when i try to get superuser permissions in order to flash a custom recovery it denies me. Ive also tried to revert/repair my firmware using KDZ update tool and it says cant find image in cache partition So really im like uhhh WTF??? Ive spent hours researching and nothing that i try has any effect on it. If you guys could shed some light on the matter that would be awesome.

Ok this is my thought: open recovery by turning your phone off. Then, hold the volume, home, and top button and reboot. If you can enter recovery, then just erase cache and reset the phone. This should work. Keep us posted!

Just a slight clarification, I think you have to hold volume down, not just any volume?

heres what i recommend, return to stock using kp500 tools then use my utility E-Z Installer and root, then install custom recovery, boom your done
