Ok, I just saw on Best Buy's site that a unlocked Note 8 is on sale for 800 bucks. Meanwhile, over 2 years, a Note 20 on Verizon is just under 1000. One of these costs too much, or both do then.

Stores can price them whatever they want to. I'm surprised that they even are still selling the note 8 on best buy.

it happens all over the world...some ppl want only note 8 after their note 8 stops working and they don't mind, paying extra...that's where u make money of old stock....some people prefer older models...happens here in India to...as I have a phone store...so I know

I just got a Note 20 Ultra on payments through Verizon for 2 years with a trade in for $398 total. Well, I do have to pay tax.

Nice. Too bad I'd probably want to do the Samsung data-transfer from my Note 8 to the 20. And since my old Note 4 is gone, I somehow doubt my ancient-*** Note 2 would count for a trade in. That plus I'd probably wanna pay the 398 and tax right away and get it done.

They're Samsungs, of course they cost too much lol.

Yup, sure you got Verizon's 24 month credits which translates to paying full price for phone and getting a contract built in as your trade is money. If you pay off early, you pay even more. These carriers are slick IMO. IM glad I got to the point I can pay cash now or if I do payments it's thru best buy or Samsung direct where the promo and trades are usually up front.
