For those who are not satisfied with battery life or those who want to extend it :

" TURN OFF PODOMETER " ;)

You will see the difference.

I get 2+ days with the pedometer on. One of the many reasons I got the watch was the pedometer.

Since i'm 30,, i really don't need the pedometer,,may be i'll use it in 30 years,,,but for now i prefer battery life.
I do not understand what that can serve me to know that I have walked such a number of steps at the end of the day,,may be i'll activate it once i'll go for running,,but when going to work i think it's totaly un-useful.

Anyway,,behaviours can be different.

Wish I knew how you were doing this. I took mine off the charger last night at 9 and when I woke up it was at 80. After checking the watch 3 times for 20 seconds each over 2 hours, I'm at 75%

Don't wish to know something wrong my friend,, i've tried so many configurations,,,and it's impossible for the watch to stand 2 days (mean 48h ) with all features working.hhhh what do you expect,,since even when you don't use it,, battery drains is 20%,,, i think no need to ask someone else about it,,,the truth is over your eyes

Was it connected to your phone during that time? Mine loses about 5% at night.
Have you looked at some of the battery saving tips such as data network to auto, Wi-Fi and GPS off when not using, etc? That's really strange that it's using that much when idle at night.
Only thing I can think of off the top of my head, if you've got stuff set like suggestions, is maybe are you using the weather and/or news widget(s) and they refresh often? That'd keep waking the watch and using cpu (battery).

BT connected to phone all other connections off always.

I have the weather on but only set to update every 6 hours. News isn't on that I know of? How do I turn it off

I have it sleep tracking while I sleep. I suppose that could drain it though I figured it was part of that 3 days normal usage.

Yeah I believe that's it. Having the sensor active all night could very well use that much.
I only sleep track every now and then.
I've been unplugged since 6am, spent from 3pm- 830pm remotely connected , plus other moments of being out range throughout the day, and got about a dozen texts that I replied to during that time, at least 20 Gmail and my battery as I write this at 10pm is 58%

I guess that's what I get too for battery life. I just read about these people getting 2 full days worth.

What clock face is that you have!? I like it

That's another thing. The screen of these watches likes darker backgrounds, without getting into a bunch of detail because it'd totally jack the thread. The more black, the better the battery life. The more white the more energy used powering individual pixels.
Most days I'm at around 65% at the end of the day but today was more than usual remotely connected. I'm usually only a couple of hours or less. I also average 10k steps and when using exercise sessions I let the phone GPS track my location if I've got it with me. The standalone GPS lock sucks and it's a battery killer too.
Here's a screen shot of the watch and developer. I think I paid $1. It can change to a plethora of choices for both neon color and text color. That one is direct sunlight friendly and Seahawks colors.

I also use Gear Notification Extender app from the Play Store instead of letting the Gear Manager push my notifications. If memory serves it was $2. After installing it uncheck all notifications in GM except Gear Notification Extender (GNE)
Wi-Fi and GPS ,on the watch, are pretty large battery users but using the standalone music player is my biggest battery user. If I go for a long kayak excursion with just the watch with me my battery only lasts about half a day between GPS and the music player if I use them. I keep the oem charger in my dry bag when I go kayaking because I know I'll probably need the extra juice its built in battery offers.
Hope that helps

Thanks! I use dark backgrounds. I tried the GNE app, but didn't like that it labeled EVERY notification with the letters GNE. You think Gear Notification Extender affects battery? As a Packer fan, I don't think I can use that clock now that you associated it with Seahawks.

GNE used to separate them better. I'm not sure on the extra battery life but it does seem to have helped. Might be my imagination on that part though.
At any rate has your battery gotten any better? You might try seeing if anything is running that you haven't opened by scrolling up from the home screen to open the app drawer and tapping recently used at the top. If there's something there you didn't open it might be an app opening itself and using cpu. I really wish they made an app for the watches like gsam or watch dog for our phones and tablets. They are wonderful for finding energy pirates

Yes much better! Last night I went to bed with it at 75%, charged it this morning for about a half hour ish from 50 to 60, and now I'm at 39%. I don't think my usage changed but it's possible.

Wed my Tmobile Sim chip gets here so we'll see how that affects it. $15/MO for unlim text phone and 500MB of fast data, unlimited slow stuff! Couldn't say no

I have everything on and I get 12-15 hours max before the watch goes totally dead. Kind of frustrating since I expected a lot more. Oh yeah and if I use the watch to play music it just about cuts that # in half. Many times I have run the watch on power saving mode when working a double shift. In fact just the other day my watch went from 100% to 5% in just 3 hours with no abnormal usage or music being played. I had to do a factory reset and it seems like things are back to normal now.

I've noticed huge variations on my watch battery life. I went 2 full days with, then back to less than 1 the next. I don't think my usage changed between those. I've got a Gear 2 Neo I was going to sell because it does so much less than the S, but I think I'll keep it as a backup now.
