Extend text notification time on the wedge

I get a text message, often by the time I am able to look at the notification on the wedge it is finishing up. It goes pretty fast. Is there a way to slow the notification display time to give me a better chance to read it so I don't need to always fire up the phone.

I imagine the notification time is the same as any phone where the message text displays at the top of a phone. Probably need root access to slow it down.

If developers ever work on new wedge apps a good one would be a wedge that scrolls the last x text messages received.

I actually just edited the option where when a text comes in it is no longer showing a portion of the text on the Edge screen. That could get.....dangerous lol.

How?

Go into your text messages. Click on SETTINGS in the default text app.

Click on NOTIFICATIONS and UNCHECK the "Preview Message" in the Edge Panel.

What you have now done is prevented the CONTENTS of your texts from scrolling across that screen. All that pops up is the text notification on that side panel. Nothing else.
