Extended Battery Question

I purchased an extended battery with a cover off of ebay. I usually pick one up from the same vendor with each phone I have. Anyway with the extended battery and new cover in place my signal almost disappears. Any ideas? What i did do was removed the cover and pulled the 4 prongs out a little further to see if that made a difference, but I didn't see any. Thanks for all the anticipated answers. Howie

Changing the battery cover on the DInc should not effect signal. There are no antenna connectors to the back cover like the DInc2 or the Thunderbolt. I have a Seidio Extended Battery/cover and have had no problems. Is the new cover made out of something other than plastic?
