Extended battery question

Just got a brand new extended battery from verizon. Within minutes of use its down like 7 percent. Is that normal? Do i have to break it in? Any suggestions will are appreciated. And i know its off this topic but will the new update make the phone have better battery life or will it mostky help out with signal? Thanks

It won't come fully charged from the store, so 7% is completely normal.

I dont think the op was referring to the battery coming with 7% battery life from the store.,.

From a full charge.... i do not think it is normal... but yes, it happens to me as well. Frustrating... i know. The extended battery doesnt even feel thst much more "extended" when compared to the OE battery. I feels like i am getting the same usage out of the original battery
