Extended Battery Recommendations

Has anybody actually purchased an extended life battery and if so, can you share your experience thus far? I know there are a few on Amazon but I've read where their reviews on their website may be suspect and am consequentially looking for some feedback from an AC user.

I think there is another post about this but still very interesting. If Samsung releases an official extended battery kit I would get it in a heartbeat. But meanwhile I'm still undecided about which one to get.

I purchased the Hyperion 4200 mAh extended battery with battery back cover. Has been a very good battery so far, I am very happy with it. They also make a case for it but it is fugly.

Extended Battery: $15.99

Case: $5.99

I also bought this one, in white, off Amazon. Lasts a good 50-60% longer than the stock battery - that's my guestimate and not based on any real scientific testing.

But it does turn the phone in to a brick, that's for sure.

And yeah, that TPU case really is fugly!

Thanks for the responses. Are you pretty easily going a couple of days between charges now? I ask because I can go over a day with 2100mAh so I'd expect a considerable boost moving to 4200mAh.

I hope that is with heavy usage since I can get better with the stock battery with light usage and in a building with poor signal.

My thoughts exactly - I can go 32 hours with light use too. I simply find it difficult to believe a battery with double the capacity (and more for some batteries) for less than $20 offers good performance. I absolutely want it to be true but I'm skeptical (of the sellers, not those on AC who use them; I'm not attacking any body's credibility).

i'm a stay at home dad so yea i use my phone alot. So if you guys can get 30 hours on the OEM battery you will probably get 3 days on one charge.
