Extended Battery> slower dx??

I took advantage of the crazy $ recently on the motorola extended battery for my DX. I installed it yesterday and not sure if its just me, but I swear since I installed the battery my DX is considerably slower. I have not added any apps since the install. Am I crazy? Is this a problem with the battery?? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Interesting. I don't think it is the battery, but maybe the "pull" affected a app or something. Try rebooting...

I switch from my extended battery, to normal battery all the time, and don't notice a difference in speed. I think it may just be a coincidence. Try a battery pull or 2, and you should be okay. As far as I know the battery shouldn't have anything to do with the speed of the phone.

I think this is a mental thing because the battery wont effect the performance on the device, I learned that when a user changes something on there device they expect to always see something different about the device but the battery is meant to extent use time that is it.. any performance change would most likely nothing.. Example I change roms I was using and my mind said I liked the previous rom dialer more than new one but after looking at screen shots of both dealers I learned they where the same color and design... That's how the mind seems to work.

Glad to hear the coupon is still active... although I didn't try it the coupon apparently works for everything in your cart, not just the ext battery! Anyway, when I started this thread I could have sworn my phone was acting different. Well after 48 hours and trial/error I am convinced I am crazy. There was/is no difference in phone as a result of ext battery.

So has anyone else received their battery? Does this work with the stock rear door? Reason being is that I use the DX with the car mount. Thanks.

Other people have said that the stock door does close, but causes some stress on the screen.

I'm sure the manufacturers put the new door in there for a good reason. It doesn't add any noticeable thickness to the phone, are you sure the car dock won't still work with the extended door?
