Extended Slim Battery

I have the Droid 1. Actually no intention of switching up just yet. However, one of the great disappointments with the Original Droid is that Seidio never made an extended slim battery for it. And while they kept promising, eventually we all knew they were not going to make it.

However, the Droid 2 appears to use the same battery as the Droid 1. Can someone verify this? Also, if thats the case, anyone hear of renewed plans by seidio to make a extended slim for the droid 2, which in turn would work for the droid 1?

verizon is selling an oem extended batter (BP7x) and cover for the droid2..it would prob work for the D1 except tht the cover is blue...

You also have the seidio 2800mah battery vs verzions 1800mah extended battery, I think its only 14$ more on ebay

Does the battery cover stick out, or is it like normal?

it barely sticks out about 2mm or so. Its not a big difference at all. I dont think it will affect cases but i dont have a case to test.
