Extended Warranties, have you purchased them?

I wondered if anyone purchases the extended warranty for their tablets, specifically the Tab Pro 8.4? My deadline for picking that up is swiftly approaching and wanted your thoughts on the pros and cons of buying this through Best Buy. It's 79.99 and covers everything including drops and spills.

I bought mine last week from Best Buy. As I have had many phones and tablets in the past with no issues, I concluded that $80 for one year coverage was a bit steep and so I declined.

Does it include loss or theft?

If you just want extended warranty for mechanical defects, certain cards like American express will automatically extend the warranty a year. This won't cover accidental damage though

For me, I never purchase the plans. But $80 with no deductible isn't terrible if you're rough on your devices. Like dpham said check with your credit card company. I buy all my electronics with my discover card because they extend the warranty for a year
