External DVD Drives

Hello,

I'm looking into getting a new laptop for my wife for Christmas this year and I was considering a Chromebook.

One thing she wants is something with a DVD player or at least be able to attach an external one for her Rosetta Stone DVDs.

Is this possible on any Cheomebooks?

I believe at this point, you can connect an external DVD drive, but only to read data files, not to write. It is also not possible to play movies from DVDs. See this HP support page: HP Support document - HP Support Center
