For those who are not buying or delaying their purchase of the Note 8 but still want to use a stylus I recommend the fabric mesh pens that are widely available. They can be used, for instance, with S Note that comes with the S8.
I would stress that this is a primitive workaround compared to the S pen and software. Not intended as a replacement.
But the fabric mesh stylus is 1,0000x's better than the big blob rubber tipped stylus that is so common.
In fact, the pens I got when on thick setting wrote as well as the stylus on my Note 3, 4 and 5.
Again, this is just an alternative and not intended to replace Note 8 hardware and software. But if you're sticking with the S8 or plus for awhile....
