Face-unlock breaks camera app?

Hi everyone,

I have been using face-unlock on my Nexus 5, and it works very quickly and reliably. However, after unlocking my phone maybe 10-20 times, the front camera no longer activates, forcing me to use the pattern unlock. If I pattern-unlock and then open the camera app, it has a green display with vertical streaks.

At this point, I need to restart my phone, which fixes the issue. But it happens regularly with continued face unlocking.

Anyone else have this problem?

WOW, Thank you. finally, somone with the same problem. i have contacted google and the person that had been helping me tested a phone himself but could not replicate the fault. it looks like a software fault to me but does it even after a full wipe. i can reproduce the fault by rapidly pushing the power button to turn the screen on / off for random amount of time. i realised this because i use it to check the time quickly without unlocking the phone so the screen is only on for a second.

Yup, I have the exact same issue. I thought it was just black frozen camera screen but this morning I got the flying green blocks version of the fault. Reboot fixes it.
