Face Unlock Very Fast

I set up face unlock which I have never used on any phone before. It is instantaneous. I was adding a new cc to Google Pay and it now requires a lock screen that I don't typically use. I tried setting a pin, but that was too much of a hassle. Fingerprints can be a little cumbersome too so I thought I would try face unlock. I am impressed.

I didn't see one. It just scanned my face on set up and of course I had my eyes open.

One caveat. I found that if the room is dark, it won't be able to read your face and you'll have to use your pin or turn a light on. Not a big deal, but thought I would mention it.

Yes, I started another thread about this. It's awesome in how fast and accurate it is. I was hoping that it had been improved since my Note 20 Ultra and it has for sure.

Thank goodness...the one on my Note 10+ has been running on 50% accuracy even after re-registering fingerprints since last summer..

FPS has come a long way since the Note 10. I used to despise it. The s21u and now the s22u are almost 99% accurate.

Yep the fingerprints on S21 Ultra and S22 series is great, fast and accurate. Samsung has one of the best on screen fingerprint scanners. OnePlus also is good but I'll take the ultrasonic fingerprint sensors over the optical ones from OnePlus and Pixel. Especially in the dark, the OnePlus and Pixel light up as opposed to the ultrasonic ones on Samsung which is easy on the eyes

I spoke too soon. The phone wouldn't recognize my face at all this morning.
Rather than set it up again, I decided to give the FPS a try. I registered 2 fingers and a thumb. It took me a while to get the right pressure needed, but so far is fast and accurate.

remember to comb your hair next time! LOL one a serious note....Face unlock has worked great for me so far. But it has only been a couple of hours.....

When using FU does yours just go to the locked screen and not the home screen ?

You can pick If you want to bypass lock screen
