Facebook App Memory Issue

The Facebook app seems to be a memory hog. Are there any tips or workaround?

The FB app is notorious for being a hog, I would recommend logging in on Chrome and creating a home screen shortcut for the Chrome page. Basically just go to Chrome, log in, save it at a favorite and then create the home screen shortcut. I hear it works basically the same, minus the battery and memory destruction.

Thanks very much for your quick response. I have been doing it ever since my friendcaster app went wonky. I was hoping that there was another app or device setting.

Try Metal, it can replace both ur FB and Twitter apps

I use the Friendly for Facebook app. It combines the the mobile version of Facebook with many,but not all, parts of the official Facebook Messenger app. The official FB Messenger app just destroyed my data usage so I had to find a decent compromise.
