Facebook app not working

I can reply to posts, but if I click in the "what's on your mind" box, the keyboard doesn't show up.
I've tried switching kbs , uninstalling, then reinstalling Facebook, about everything I can think of.

Any suggestions?
 
No issues here on S9+, TMobile version. Have you tried a different keyboard to see if that's the issue? Have you tried someone else's account? (I know, it sounds ludicrous, but someone had a similar issue with not being able to type any posts and it was JUST happening on their account, so it was a FB thing)
 
Also remember, FB has completely admitted to introducing deliberate timed bugs to random accounts to 'evaluate how users react and interact with software'.
 
Facebook app was/is/always will be a giant turd w/pure bologna.

With that said, there has been a lot of buggy updates lately and it's not the phone because I switch phones periodically. On my V20 and S8+ I couldn't even open the app a few days last month after some bad updates. It's working now but I don't trust the official Android app. I also have used the Lite Facebook app on my tablet
 
Funny you should post this because I'm also having an issue. I get a keyboard and can type a status but the post button does nothing. I can't post a status or post on anyone's wall and I couldn't post a new event in a private group today. I can comment and like on posts. I can also do everything from the browser on my phone and FB Lite works fine but FB android is the problem. Just started a few days ago. I reported it but haven't heard from FB yet and I'm not holding my breath.

I started having the exact same problems around uh and 7/1/18 just after a recent update to my s9+. I contacted Verizon tech support and they had me do a factory reboot. One day later, the problem is back. I guess I will look into this FB lite you all are talking about.

Carrier support will most of the time suggest that when they have no clue as to why something is happening. I strongly suggest you DON'T factory reset if only one app is failing (that's usually the app's fault, not the phone).
