Facebook app sucks!

The only thing I miss about WebOS (other than WebOS notifications.. dreamy) is the FB app.

Damn that, the truth is just the truth. The android facebook app is simply terrible. Its the only versions that doesnt give true notifications for everything. I mean unless you count the "push notifications"... thats if and when they actually work.

You cant be serious? The iphone facebook app sh*ts all over the Android version.

Of course I'm serious. None of them really work right (which I think part of the problem may actually be FaceBook), but I've found the Android version to be the best of the three. On the BB the notifications would stop completely every now and then and the only way to fix it was to reinstall the app. On the iPhone version the notifications sort of work at random. It gets most of them, but not all. The Android version (so far) has sent all my notifications (I think), but sometimes actually viewing what I'm notified of is wasted time looking at something blank.

Again, they all need work. on a 1-10 scale with 10 being best, I would probably rate them:

BB - 5
iPhone - 7
Android - 8

When it really comes down to it though, FB is almost a complete waste of time and life anyway, so I really don't give a rip about it. I'm not going to die if I don't get a notification or something and it's really not worth getting worked up over...lol!

Your other option is to use the browser and go to the mobile site. I find the app more than useful.

Actually it does.

Opening up the conversation > menu > close conversation and doing that to all my conversations doesn't do anything

when i go back into the app an hour later all my conversations are back open again

I also get rouge notifications about new messages when there are none.

I do not have FB synced to my contacts and in Accounts&Sync it is not checked to sync but if I go to start to compost a new text and begin to type a name it'll give people's numbers whom are on my FB but not a contact in my phone, and another friend of mine when he texts me it comes up as his picture from FB and his FB name although I have unlinked his contact in my phone from FB multiple times. Anyone knows how I can fix these annoying problems?

I actually think twitter is a useful tool. As long as you block all the spamming advertisers from following you. Its great to get urgent information out in a hurry..

Facebook on the other hand is getting really bloated.

You need to closethe conversations and log out of facebook to delete them. Its a pain but it works.

Pretty much. I'm not no Facebook hater or twitter fan boy. Twitter is just better in my opinion, alot more organized. I'm 17 years old and I can slowly see people going to twitter instead of Facebook. Twitter will be on top, only to be toppled by another new social networking site in the future of course
