Facebook app won't autoplay videos

I have a Redmi Note 9s. Video won't automatically play on Facebook app. Set to be are set to autoplay. I can t find how to fix this bug anywhere. Can anyone help?

You can try clearing the Facebook app cache and reboot.

OK your only option is to clear the data, which removes everything from your Facebook app, not your account. You'll need to log back into it.
Hopefully that will resolve the issue.
If not, then it's a Facebook issue that only the Facebook developers need to fix.

If you ever figure this out, I'd love to know so I can reverse the steps. I have auto-play set to off, but it likes to auto play anyway. Been like that for years, though I mostly just use the mobile browser version of the site.

They never seem to reply. Your're better off shooting your email to the moon. With Facebook, you just have to hope they fix the bug eventually on their own. Like @Mooncatt noted, they haven't fixed their issue in years.

well I just checked my mum's phone on her Facebook on the app and the videos are auto playing on her phone her phone is an Redmi Note 10 Pro so something must be up with my phone she is on the same version as me as well and has them enabled

sometimes they play

they play on website or when I am on browser but not on app strange

can you try to see facebook from browser, is it also not playing automatically? after that try facebook lite too

Facebook on browser plays videos automatically under mobile site and on Facebook lite but not the Facebook app for some reason
