Facebook for HTC Sense Does Not Include Full Friends List

I just created a new Google contact entry for a friend I have on Facebook (I confirmed we were still friends on my laptop). When her entry did not automatically sync with Facebook for HTC Sense, I tried to link it manually only to find that she did not appear in my list of Facebook for HTC Sense friends. As far as I know she is the only one, but there could be others. Any ideas why this is the case?

Do you have her listed as a favorite? If not go to contacts and put her in your favorites grouping. Should take care of it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I gave this a shot, but it did not seem to correct my problem. I'm not sure I understand this logic behind your suggestion. My problem is that she does not appear in my list of linakable Facebook for HTC Sense friends. She does, however, appear as a contact in People.

I feel like the syncing with this is slow sometimes. Give it awhile. I went through an issue when I had all my contacts synced through FB for Android... and then I deleted that and switched to Facebook for HTC Sense and it took awhile to connect all my contacts.

Eventually that may be what I have to do. My only complaint is that contacts synced through the app end up with extremely blurry pictures.

I read somewhere that it has to do w/the user's security/privacy settings on their FB account. I have a few friends who don't show up in the FB HTC Sense app because of their privacy settings.

I had this same very issue...

When adding new contacts to my phone, I would go out and try to link them to their Facebook page only to not be able to find them in the Facebook list.

If I go to Facebook on my phone, they are all there.... But not when I try and link to them via People (contacts)...

First I thought it was the phone... Then the facebook security settings, etc.....

Well.... come to find out.... I had changed my password a few months ago... and apparently, that's when Facebook for HTC Sense stopped syncing. Of course you don't get any error... and you won't know you are not syncing until you try and link a contact to a new facebook friend with a contact... and of course, the normal facebook on my phone works fine and updates... so again, because you aren't getting a sync error, you never know unless you notice.

The way I fixed this was to remove the Facebook for HTC Sense from the Account area. Then I re-added it and put in the correct info. Then I hit sync and went to the people list... All the facebook photos were gone and started to re-populate.

It took a while, but I went in to find a person that was missing before and they were there this time.... so, that's what fixed it for me.... a simple password change and it whacked me...
