Facebook for HTC Sense not working Facebook 1.3.1 Crashes

Is anyone still having problems with getting logged in for the Facebook for HTC Sense to work? I still can not get logged in. I called HTC, but that was a waste of my time. I wiped my device (even thought it was only 2 days old an I couldn't get logged in from day 1) and I still couldn't get logged in. I did the whole "enter your work and work city in" and I tried removing them and that didn't work either.

Facebook 1.3 and 1.3.1 also crashed when I clicked on Friends. I had to go in and turn off syncing my contacts with Facebook to get it to stop crashing. Love the phone, but hate the Facebook problems (and the battery life).

The Facebook app has had a LOT of problems. The last update was supposed to fix the battery issues that the update before that caused and that update was supposed to fix other issues. Never saw issues like this on my Blackberry :/

I've had problems with 1.3.1 too. FC on Friends link. Kinda useless that way, so I Uninstalled the updates.

I have had problems with FB as well so I'm just checking it the old fashioned way, through the browser on my phone. the mobile sire and even the full site is fast enough for me on the browser

I had a problem getting Facebook for HTC Sense to login as well. It was because I had disabled all platform applications in my FB profile when I first set it up on the computer. Once I reenabled the applications, FB for HTC Sense logged in without any problems. Check that setting on your account and see if it helps.

Account->Privacy Settings->Applications and Websites/Edit your settings

I've noticed my HTC Sense facebook widget has been crashing non-stop when i try and open it since the new FB update..

Well...that fixed the HTC Sense problem. Facebook 1.3.1 still crashes with the process com.facebook.katata Force Close error. I'm 1/2 way working now! Thanks again!

Glad I could help with part of your problem. I'm not having any FC issues with the 1.3.1 app, so I can't help you there. Good luck!

FYI - Looks like 1.3.2 came out and that fixed my other problem with the Force Close error!
