Facebook Integration Issue??

When I go into Settings>Accounts & Sync, the only thing that is there is my Google account. When I look to the bottom of that page and click "Add Account", it pops up with a few options. (Corporate, Email, Facebook, Google, VZ Backup Assistant)

I would like to integrate my Facebook account into the Android "ecosystem". When I click on Facebook, it just takes me back to the main Accounts & Sync page, where there is only my Google account.

Does anyone else experience this issue? Is this a software/hardware issue? I just don't understand. Before, I had an HTC Evo 4G and had no problem with adding and syncing my Facebook account. Please, anyone with any knowledge help!

Any help is super-appreciated!

Unfortunately because of the spat between facebook and google starting with 4.0 they have disabled integrating facebook with google contacts etc. Instead if you are looking to integrate them there are a few options one of the more popular being https://market.android.com/details?id=org.mots.haxsync which will integrate your facebook pictures, status updates etc. All you can do with the facebook account is use it to read status updates etc with the actual facebook app. Hope this helps!

4.03+ integrates facebook, right?

I am on 4.0.4, and no facebook integration here.

It's not an android thing, its a facebook thing, at least thats what Im hearing. Facebook needs to update their app to use the new API and they haven't/wont.

Ahh damn, I thought that was one of the highlights of 4.03. I just want all my contacts to have pictures

I assign mine manually anway so when a friend changes their profile picture to a balloon, I still see their face when they call.

If you really want the functionality of syncing faccebook contacts, ,either haxsync (.99 cents) or Friendcaster (free) do that for you, haxsync gives high res photos while friendcaster does not however.

A lot of rooted ROM's have the facebook sync enabled as well. However I don't use it and still prefer Haxsync mostly because the only way to get high-res pics is through haxsync... At least as far as I know.....
