Facebook link previews not working... phone, OS or app???

Hi guys,

Just migrated from iPhone (which I had since the 3g) to an S5 so just getting used to how things work

One think which is really bugging me is that link previews are not working in the FB app... it just lists the URL (it's not a weird address - it's starts http:// and ends with .html). I've googled for the past hour but haven't been able to find any recent mention of this problem.

This is making me wonder if its the app that's the problem (as I'd expect millions of people to be having the same issue!)

As I say it's an S5 with un-rooted KitKat 4.4.2 and the version of the FB app is 11.0.0.11.23.

Any ideas/?

I am told that it is a limitation in the Facebook Android app. If you want previews, you have to post from a web browser interface to Facebook.
