Facebook messenger pictures - where are they?

Whenever I take a picture through the facebook messenger and send it, it doesn't show up in my gallery and it's no where that I can find. Does it go to a particular folder or place? I've checked the SD card, the phone itself while connected via USB - scrolled through the entire gallery (and I'm a picture freak) but for the life of me, I can't find them.

It won't let me save them from there, either. I get an error that the action cannot be completed. What the whoo ha?

They hide the photos. You have to have a rooted phone. Its in the hidden root directory, data/data/com.facebook.orca/cache

you have to copy the folder to a directory and rename the .image files to .jpg files.

i am experiencing the same problem as Rosalind Rosario ..when photos taken in messenger can not be save...what can i do..

Nope, not there. I don't know what the answer is but this sure isn't it.

I'm having this same problem... So then all of the pics that you take with your phone thru fb messenger are stored in this "hidden" folder? then isn't it possible that the folder gets filled up pretty quick and then takes up too much space on the phone?
