Hi! Since Android auto has been updated to use with our phones, everything is working great!!!! (just waiting for the "Ok Google" voice command to be implemented).

Now also Facebook Messenger updated their app to work with Android Auto. It works when somebody writes to me. I can press the arrow to listen to the message. Then once the message has been read, I press on the Mic icon and say "reply" but I always get a message of AA that says something like : this feature is not working for this app or need to update this app...etc.

Now I know that I have the latest version of Facebook Messenger and I even register to be in the beta one.

Am I the only one that has that issue that I can't reply to any Facebook Messenger messages?

Thanks in advance!

Personally, any more than basic messaging and calls, social media whilst driving a vehicle is fraught with danger and should be illegal. Anyone ran over /into anyone near and dear to me doing this, I would pull them from their car and beat the snot out of them.
But you have to love the tech... :-)

Bull. Basic messaging including replying to a message, especially when doing so by voice. Hell in a Tesla you can watch YouTube videos on the 17" display. Take your misplaced anger and go after them.

People eat in their car, put on makeup in their car, even have sex in their car right now. It's all called distracted driving just as much as staring at a phone instead of using hands free options. You can do this safely while driving (e.g. at a stop light). Stop treating people like babies!

So I'm having the same problem, but it's weird:

If I try to use voice commands to send a Facebook Messenger message it comes back saying "Sorry, I am unable to send Facebook messages". But when I receive a Facebook message it will read it to me, and when prompted to "reply" it will actually let me send a message. So basically it only let's me reply to messages not send them like a regular text message.

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this. I always send messages over Facebook instead of SMS because half the time my cellphone carrier doesn't work.

P.S. I'm using an S7 Edge on a 2016 Chevy Spark if that makes any difference.
