Facebook not working on wifi

Facebook since the latest update will not work. Text loads but images dont show up and it takes forever to load pages and new posts. Anyone else seeing this ? Only happens on WiFi all other apps load fine. The facebook app works good on cellular

Hi, i've been having this same issue for a long time and finally found a fix.

If you have access to the router you're connected over on Wifi, change its DNS to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4) instead of ISP's. Make sure you change it on the router, not just on the phone.

Ever since the update, I have a hard time connecting, most especially with messenger app, couldnt see videos and photo s anymore.

I had the exact same issue when my phone upgraded to Oreo. Facebook worked fine on some wifi networks but not on others. (I also noticed that Zedge ringtones was doing the same thing.) I went to my router settings and found the option to enable IPv6 and Facebook and Zedge worked fine. I've attached a photo of the option on my router, so just look for something similar on yours.
