Facebook notifications in notification bar

I remembering seeing other threads about the "best facebook app" and getting notifications in the notification bar (or what ever its called).

Anyways DI comes preloaded with a standard facebook app, i'd recommend going to the marked and installing the "facebook for android" it will "replace" the facebook app that comes with the phone but it actually gives you notifications now. also has a couple extra options that it explains when you install.

*sorry if this has already been posted, i haven't seen this solution so far

i instaled this and I am still not getting notifications in the top bar for when someone comments on my wall or tags me ro soemthing etc. but i did get one for a new friend request...did i miss a configuration somewhere?

The HTC Facebook app and the default Android Facebook app are both complete crap. Notifications rarely work. If you really want notifications on Android change your Facebook settings to send you a text message on updates.

I know, not the best solution, but it's all we have until Facebook get's off it's ass and fixes the current app.
